How to Have a Healthy St. Patrick’s Day Weekend

For those of us who shun the idea of going out to a crowded pub to hang out with all of the amateurs, Optimal Health & Wellness Center thought we’d go over a few ways you can maximize the weekend and get some good fitness time in, stay on top of your nutrition, and have of safe, overall progress in multiple areas of your life!

Sounds good, right? Right!

Read on for a few ways to have a healthy St. Patty’s Day weekend.

Eat Your Greens

Make some St. Patrick’s Day-themed salads — maybe some kale, beets, carrots, broccoli, and corned beef, if you need some inspiration. You can pair your healthy salads with a green beer of your choice.

Get in Touch with Nature

Go on a nature hike and pretend that you’re in the beautiful hills of Ireland. Going on a nice hike will help clear your mind, give you the opportunity to get some fresh air and sunlight, and also keep you away from the ruckus that tends to happen during these types of holidays at bars and clubs.

Cardio Dance Class

Instead of hitting up the bars and clubs to shake your tail, maybe consider taking a cardio dance class, that way you get your heart rate up while busting a move. It’s a great way to mix up your fitness routine!
